At the invitation of the Government of Norway and the International Energy Agency, Novozymes and CleanStar will attend a high-level conference in Oslo on 10th and 11th October 2011, focused on financing energy access solutions at the Base of the Pyramid.
On 11th October, Novozymes and CleanStar will present a case study on CleanStar Mozambique, and lead a discussion focused on scaling and replicating the business throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

Novozymes and CleanStar will be hosting a private briefing for key business, government and media figures in Sydney on 21 November 2011.
The purpose of the briefing is to highlight the successful collaboration in CleanStar Mozambique that includes both Danish and Australian investors, and to showcase an example of how innovations in environmental finance can be used to drive environmental restoration and rural development in Africa.

Novozymes and CleanStar will be presenting on their investment in CleanStar Mozambique at the Rio+20 UN Conference on Sustainable Development being held in Rio de Janeiro from 4th to 6th June 2012. This event marks the 20th anniversary of the Earth Summit 1992, which launched sustainable development into the mainstream.

Thomas Nagy of Novozymes led a roundtable discussion on “Access to Cleaner Stoves and Fuel for Cooking” at the UN Private Sector Forum on Tuesday 20 September 2011, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
During this roundtable, Novozymes briefed attendees about the investment in CleanStar Mozambique and the viability of upgrading urban African households from charcoal to ethanol cooking.
